Seok Weon Lee is a professor of international business at the Graduate School of International Studies. He studied at Yonsei University, and received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in the area of finance. Prior to joining Ewha as a professor, he researched as a senior economist at Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC). His main research interests include issues such as financial institutions’ behavior, moral hazard, principle-agent problems, and corporate governance, etc. He is also interested in the banking industry’s regulatory reforms. His research has been published in numerous leading international journals such as the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Research in Banking and Finance, and Advances in Quantitative Analysis of Finance and Accounting.
