  • Dr. Eun Mee Kim is Professor at the Graduate School of International Studies and Director of the Global Health Institute for Girls at Ewha Womans University. She has served as the president of Korea Association of International Development and Cooperation (2011-2012) and a civilian member on the Committee for International Development Cooperation under the Prime Minister’s Office, the Policy Advisory Committee in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Policy Advisory Committee in the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. In 2013-2016, she served as an outside director of Samsung Electronics and received Service Merit Medal in 2012 from the Republic of Korea for her contributions to the Fourth High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (HLF-4) held at Busan. In 2013, she received the first research grant to a university in South Korea from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on her research project entitled, “Advocacy for Korean Engagement in Global Health and Development.” In 2016, she received a research grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on the project entitled, "Korea Global Health Strategy (2016-2019)." And in 2019, for the first time in Korea, she received the research grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for three consecutive years and is conducting research on "Korea Global Health Strategy (2019-2022)." In December 2016, she was selected as one of the 15 authors of the UN-designated Independent Group of Scientists (IGS) for the preparation of the 2019 UN Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR).
