[GSIS] Guidance on Changes to the Operation of Research Ethics Courses for Graduate School / 대학원 연구윤리 교과목 운영 변경 사전 안내

The graduate school plans to change Research Ethics Course as follows from the Fall semester of 2023, so please refer to the following information.

1. Additional research ethics courses are opened (From Fall 2023)

2. Changes in the Criteria for Completing Research Ethics Courses

A. Completion of 1 existing required subject (Preventing Research Misconduct)

→ Completion of required 2 subjects to complete research ethics courses (Preventing Research Misconduct / Key Guide to Research Ethics)

B. Not applicable to those who have already completed research ethics by Spring 2023 semester (Will be applied from Fall 2023 semester)

3. Reasons for opening additional research ethics courses and changing the criteria for completion

A. Research ethics have been strengthened in accordance with the enactment of the 「National Research and Development Innovation Act」(2021.1.1.). (Specify the obligation to comply with research ethics and create an environment as a researcher and a university)

In addition, the importance of research ethics is emerging as a social issue.

B. 'Paper Writing and Research Ethics: Research Fraud Prevention' which is currently provided by our school's cyber campus, consists of content on what cheating is and how to prevent it is insufficient as a research ethics education to be provided to actual researchers.

C. Accordingly. it is intended to give graduate students an overall perception of research ethics by changing from 1 course of existing mandatory course to 2 courses.

대학원에서는 2023학년도 제2학기부터 연구윤리 교과목을 아래와 같이 변경하여 시행 예정이오니,아래 내용을 참고하시기 바랍니다.

2.연구윤리 교과목 이수 기준 변경

가. 기존 필수 과목 1개 이수 (논문작성과연구윤리:연구부정행위예방)

→필수 과목 2개 이수해야 연구윤리 교과목 이수 인정 (논문작성과연구윤리:연구부정행위예방 / 연구윤리 핵심 가이드)

나. 2023-1학기까지의 연구윤리 기이수자는 해당없음 (2023-2학기부터 시행 예정)

3.연구윤리 교과목 강좌 추가 개설 및 이수 기준 변경 사유

가.「국가연구개발혁신법」제정(2021.1.1.)에 따라 연구윤리가 강화됨.(연구자로서,대학으로서 연구윤리 준수 및 환경 조성 의무 명시)

또한 연구윤리의 중요성이 사회적 이슈로 대두되고 있음.

나.현재 본교 사이버캠퍼스에서 제공하고 있는 연구윤리 필수과목인‘논문작성과 연구윤리:연구부정행위예방’은 부정행위가 무엇이고,

어떻게 예방해야 하는지에 대한 내용위주로 구성되어 있어,실제 연구자들에게 제공해야 할 연구윤리 교육으로서는 미흡함.

다.이에,기존 필수교육1개 과목에서2개 과목으로 변경하여 대학원생들에게 연구윤리 전반에 대한 인식을 심어주고자 함.
