모두 가입해야 합니다.

All international students at Ewha are required to enroll in BOTH ”National Health Insurance” and “Private Insurance Plan” .

1. 국민건강보험 : 자동 가입, 매달 보험료 납부 필요

2. 민간보험 : ~2024.3.3(일)

a. www.isamaster.co.kr/ewha 에서 가입 (보험증서 제출 필요X)

b. 한국에서 적용되는 민간보험에 개인적으로 가입 후 gcmc@ewha.ac.kr로 보험증서 제출

 *보험증서에 포함되어 있어야 하는 항목 : 성명, 생년월일, 가입기간, 보장 내역 (한국어, 영어 서류만 인정)

1. National Health Insurance(NHI) : Automatic enrollment, Must pay the monthly insurance fee

2. Private Insurance Plan : ~2024.3.3(SUN)

a. Enroll at www.isamaster.co.kr/ewha (no need for the certificate submission)

b. Enroll in another private insurance plan that can cover medical expenses in Korea and submit the certificate to gcmc@ewha.ac.kr

 * the proof of insurance must be provided in Korean or English and must include your full name, date of birth, coverage dates, coverage details, etc.

1. 국민건강보험
D-2 비자 소지 외국인 유학생은 국민건강보험에 당연가입됩니다(한국에 최초 입국하는 미등록 외국인의 경우 외국인등록일부터). 

국민건강보험에는 자동 가입되며, 별도의 신청 절차는 없습니다. 국민건강보험공단에서 배부한 첨부파일을 다운로드하여 세부사항을 반드시 꼼꼼히 확인하시기 바랍니다. 국민건강보험공단의 안내에 따라 건강보험료를 매월 납부해야 합니다. 

* 국민건강보험 보험료 납부방법 및 세부사항에 대해서는 국민건강보험공단으로 문의바랍니다.

a. 건강보험료 전자고지 및 자동이체(첨부파일 3,3-a,3-b)

건강보험료 전자고지 및 자동이체 제도 관련하여 첨부파일 3, 3-a, 3-b를 참고하시기 바랍니다.

b. 국민건강보험 가입 제외 신청(첨부파일 2)

외국의 법령·외국의 보험·사용자와의 계약으로 건강보험에 준하는 의료보장을 받는 외국인은 국민건강보험 가입 제외 신청을 할 수 있습니다. 자세한 사항은 국민건강보험공단(1577-1000 또는 033-811-2000) 및 외국인민원센터로 문의하여 주시기 바랍니다.

* 외국 법령에 의한 경우: 프랑스(정부간 협정, 영주권자 제외), 일본(본국에서 의료비 보상), 미국, UN(정부관료․군인과 퇴직자 및 그 가족 의료보장)

c. 예외사항 (첨부파일 1, 1페이지)

연 소득금액(연구지원비 포함)이 360만원 초과 또는 재산 13,500만원 초과 시 보험료 경감 대상에서 제외되며, 소득에 따라 보험료는 달라질 수 있습니다. 이에 대한 자세한 사항은 국민건강보험공단으로 문의하시기 바랍니다.   

2. 민간보험

학교 지정 민간보험에 가입하고자 하는 경우 아래 안내 및 첨부파일5, 6(한국어, 영어, 중국어, 베트남어)을 확인하여 2024. 3. 3.(일)까지 가입을 완료하시기 바랍니다. 학교 지정 보험가입 시 보험증서 제출은 불필요하오니 제출하지 말아 주십시오.

한국에서 적용되는 다른 민간보험에 이미 가입되어 있거나 가입 예정인 경우, 보험증서를 gcmc@ewha.ac.kr로 보내주시기 바랍니다. 보험증서에는 본인 성명, 생년월일, 가입기간, 보장내역 등이 명시되어 있어야 하며, 한국어 또는 영어 서류만 인정됩니다.

1. National Health Insurance (NHI)
International students holding a D-2 visa will automatically be enrolled in the Korean National Health Insurance (NHI). (students entering Korea for the first time and not registered as foreigners will be enrolled as of their foreigner (or “alien”) registration date). There is no separate application procedure for enrollment in the NHI as students will be enrolled automatically. Please download and carefully read attachments, distributed by the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS). Students must follow the instructions by the NHIS and pay their monthly insurance fee accordingly.

* Payment procedures for National Health Insurance fee and other details will be informed individually by the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS).

a. Application for Electronic Notice and Automatic Transfer (Attachment 3,3-a,3-b)

Please see the attached files for more details regarding electronic notice and automatic transfer procedures of health insurance fees.

b. Application for Exclusion from National Health Insurance (Attachment 2)

Foreigners whose health coverage is guaranteed by foreign law, foreign insurance, or employer’s contract may apply for exclusion from NHI. For more information, please contact the NHIS at 1577-1000 / 033-811-2000 or NHIS Center for Foreign Residents.

- France: Intergovernmental agreement

- Japan: National health insurance system reimburses policyholders for medical expenses incurred overseas

- USA, UN: Healthcare system for government officials, military personnel/retirees and their families

c. Exceptions (Attachment 1, page 1)

Insurance fee reduction is only applied to students with an annual income of 3.6 million KRW or less / personal asset amount of 135 million KRW or less ; this income includes research funds provided by the university. The actual insurance fee is subject to change depending on each individual’s income. Please contact the NHIS for further information regarding this matter.

2. Private Insurance Plan

Should you be willing to enroll in a private health insurance plan designated by the University, please carefully read the attached file 5,6 (in Korean, English, Chinese, and Vietnamese) and the information below to proceed with enrollment procedures. The enrollment procedures must be completed by no later than Sunday, March 3, 2024. There is no need to submit insurance certificates to the university upon completion of enrollment in the University-designated insurance plan.

If you are already enrolled in or intend to enroll in another private insurance plan that can cover medical expenses in Korea, please be sure to send the Certificate of Insurance via email to gcmc@ewha.ac.kr. The proof of insurance must be provided in Korean or English and must include your full name, date of birth, coverage dates, coverage details, etc.
