Liberty in North Korea (LiNK) is an international NGO working with the North Korean people as they achieve their liberty.

We are looking for volunteers who can help resettled North Koreans improve their English speaking abilities.

📍Requirements📍

🔴Volunteers who can work with a North Korean student online to improve their English conversational abilities twice a week, 1 hour per session

🔴Must reside in South Korea during the program (March - May)

🔴Must be over 18 years old

🔴Must be a native or fluent English speaker, and having Korean language ability is preferred

🔴ESL teaching experience is preferred

Liberty in North Korea [이하LiNK]: LiNK는 모든 북한 사람들이 자유롭게 사는 세상을 꿈꾸는 국제 NGO 단체입니다.

LiNK는 2004년 미국 재미 교포 대학생들의 북한 주민들을 위한 학생 행동으로 시작되었습니다.

2009년 워싱턴에서 LA로 본사를 옮긴 뒤, 2010년부터 탈북 난민 구출 활동을 이어오고 있습니다.

2012년 문을 연 한국사무소에서는 탈북인의 정착과 역량 계발을 돕고, 남북 청년들과 함께 협력하여 북한을 정치가 아닌 ‘사람중심’으로 바라보는 새로운 시각을 제시하고 있습니다.

북한을 떠올리면 정치적인 이슈로만 바라보는 기존의 시각에서 벗어나 ‘사람’과 ‘잠재력’을 중심으로 북한을 바라볼 수 있도록 다양한 온, 오프라인 활동을 하고 있습니다.
