2018-1학기 국제대학원 재입학 및 국제대학원 논문제출자격재부여 신청안내

 

2018학년도 1학기 국제대학원의 재입학 및 논문제출자격재부여 시행 일정은 아래와 같습니다.

재입학 및 논문제출자격재부여 희망자는 아래 일정에 따라 국제대학원 행정실로 신청하여 주시기 바랍니다.

 

1. 대 상

 

1) 재입학

대학원학칙에 의거 제적 또는 퇴학한 자

* 본교 학칙개정에 따라 재입학 지원기한이 폐지되었습니다. 단, 해당학과 및 총 정원의 여석이 있는 경우 소속 대학장의 제청에 의하여 총장이 재입학을 허가할 수 있으며 1회에 한합니다.

 

2) 논문제출자격재부여

학위청구논문 제출년한이 초과되어 학위를 취득하지 못한 수료자(징계 등의 사유로 학위를취득하지 못한 수료자 제외) 중 논문제출자격시험 (외국어시험 및 종합시험)에 합격한 자

단, 외국어시험 합격자에는 각 학과에서 요구하는 일정성적 이상의 공인어학능력시험(외국어시험 합격인정 기준) 성적(유효기간 이내 성적)소지자를 포함함.

* 2018년 3월 논문제출자격재부여 유효성적: 2016년 3월 1일 이후 응시성적

※ 논문제출자격재부여는 재부여 승인여부와 관계없이 1회만 신청이 가능하므로, 재부여 신청 시 논문제출 잔여기한 내(석사2년, 박사3년 이내) 논문 제출이 가능한지 등을 판단하여 신중히 신청하시기 바랍니다. 논문제출자격재부여를 승인 받은 자는 논문제출을 완료하기까지논문등록금을 납부하고 연속으로 논문등록을 하여야 합니다.

 

2. 원서 접수기간 및 접수처

2017년 10월 13일(금) ~ 10월 31일(화), 국제대학원 행정실(국제교육관 1102호)

 

3. 제출서류 (제출증명서는 제출일로부터 3개월 이내 발행분에 한함)

1) 재입학

  재입학원서(소정양식), 성적증명서

2) 논문제출자격재부여

   논문제출자격재부여원서(소정양식), 논문계획서(소정양식), 성적증명서, 재적증명서

3) 성적증명서의 경우 국제학과 지원자는 영문으로, 한국학과 지원자는 국문으로 제출

 

4. 원서교부

안내문 아래의 첨부파일을 다운로드하여 사용함.

 

5. 허가자 발표

2017년 12월 중순 재입학 및 논문제출자격재부여 허가자 개별안내 예정

 

6. 지원 불가 대상

 

1) 재입학

- 재입학 대상 범위의 제외자

(1) 재학년한 내에 소정의 전과정을 이수하지 못한 자

(2) 타교에 입학한 자
(3) 징계에 의하여 퇴학처분을 받은 자
(4) 과거에 재입학한 사실이 있는 자

(5) 성적불량제적으로 제적된 자

 

* 재학년한: 재입학 전 재학기간(학적이 있던 기간(휴학기간도 포함))을 포함하여 석사학위과정은 7년, 박사학위과정은 11년을 초과할 수 없음. 재입학전 재학기간 중의 휴학기간은 산입하나 제적/자퇴 후 재입학 전까지의 기간은 산입하지 아니함

 

2) 논문제출자격재부여

(1) 신입생 모집을 중단하고, 재적생이 남아있지 않은 학과(전공)는 논문제출자격 재부여에서제외됨. 단, 일반대학원 한국학과는 일반대학원 소속으로 논문제출자격 재부여 신청이 가능함

(2) 과거에 논문제출자격재부여 신청한 사실이 있는 자

(3) 징계 등의 사유로 영구수료 처리된 자

 

 

7. 유의사항

1) 재입학 및 논문제출자격재부여가 허가된 자는 정규등록기간에 등록하여야 하며, 등록 시수업료와 입학금(당해년도 입학금)을 납부하여야 합니다.

2) 정해진 기간 내에 수강신청과 등록절차를 완료하지 아니할 때에는 재입학 및 논문제출자격 부여를 취소할 수 있습니다.

3) 재입학자 및 논문제출자격재부여자는 학칙을 성실히 준수하여야 합니다.

 

8. 공인 어학능력시험 성적표 제출 안내(논문제출자격 재부여 신청자 중 외국어시험 미통과자의 경우)

1) 공인어학능력시험 유효 성적: 2016. 3. 1. 이후 응시 성적

- 제출처: 국제대학원 행정실(국제교육관 1102호)

2) 외국어시험

(1) 시험의 종류: TOEFL, TOEIC, TEPS, IELTS 등 학과의 외국어시험 합격기준에 해당하는자료

(2) 신청방법: 각 학과에서 정한 합격선 이상의 성적표 원본 및 사본을 제출기간에 국제대학원행정실에 제출(원본은 대조 후 반환함). 합격선은 행정실로 문의하여 주시기 바랍니다. 

3) 유의사항

공인어학능력시험 성적은 해당 기관에 조회하며, 조회 결과 불일치시 불합격 처리되고, 논문제출자격 재부여 신청자격이 박탈됨.

 GSIS Re-admission & Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission For Spring 2018

 

Information regarding Re-admission and Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission for Spring 2018 is as follows.

 

1. Eligibility

1) Re-admission

Students who dropped out or were expelled according to Graduate School Regulations

    * The restriction on the re-admission period has been lifted due to an amendment to school regulations (as of August 19, 2008).       

     The dean of Ewha GSIS can recommend the re-admission of the applicant to the president of the university in case of vacancy        

     in the appropriate degree program (either Master’s or Doctoral Program) and GSIS as a whole by the year of re-admission      

     semester. Re-admission is restricted to one time only.

 

2) Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility

A student who has been unable to receive Master’s/Doctoral degree due to the expiration of the thesis/dissertation submission period (The graduate student must receive an approval on her submitted thesis/dissertation within 7 years from entrance year for master’s program or 11 years for doctoral program.) but has passed the Thesis/dissertation submission eligibility exam (foreign language exam and comprehensive exam). Students who completed coursework but did not conferred a degree due to other reasons such as disciplinary reason are not able to apply for Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility.

 

Those who have passed the foreign language exam include students who possess the score of official English-proficiency test which is higher than each department/major request.

*Available score of Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility for Spring 2018: Score taken after March 1, 2016.

 

Submission of application for the Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility is limited to only one time (this is regardless of whether the re-authorization is granted or not). When re-authorized to submit thesis or dissertation, the student must submit the thesis/dissertation within 2 years for Master’s program and 3 years for Doctoral program (This includes the semester in which she is re-granted the eligibility). Until the thesis/dissertation is approved, she must be enrolled as thesis/dissertation-based registration status.

 

Those who are re-authorized to be eligible for submitting a thesis/dissertation should both pay a thesis/dissertation registration fee and register a Thesis/Dissertation Seminar course, until completing submission of a final thesis/dissertation.

 

2. Application period and office:

October 13, 2017 (Fri.) to October 31, 2017 (Tue.), GSIS main office (IEB 1102)

 

3. Required documents (Issued within 3 months prior to the submission date):

1) Re-admission

(1) Re-admission application form (attached)

(2) 1 copy of official transcript (in English for Dept. of International Studies; in Korean for Dept. of Korean Studies)

2) Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility

(1) Application form for Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility (attached)

(2) 1 copy of thesis/dissertation proposal (attached form)

(3) 1 copy of official transcript (in English for Dept. of International Studies; in Korean for Dept. of Korean Studies)

(4) 1 copy of certificate of enrollment (재적증명서)

 

4. Application form: Download the attached form found at the bottom of this notice

 

5. Notification of result: Mid-December 2017 to be notified by phone and e-mail

 

6. Ineligibility

1) Re-admission

-Re-admission is restricted to one time only.

-Ineligibility

(1) Students who failed to complete the necessary academic requirements (required coursework) during the maximum time given to obtain a degree

(2) Students who entered another university

(3) Students who were expelled for disciplinary reasons

(4) Students who have already been granted readmission in the past.

(5) Students who were expelled for poor academic performance

 

* Students who are granted readmission should complete all of the requirements for their degree within the designated period (7 years for master's degrees and 11 years for doctoral degrees). This designated period includes the semesters during which a student is enrolled in Ewha classes or has applied for a leave of absence. It does not include semesters during which a student has completely dropped out of Ewha and removed their name from the registrar.

 

2) Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility

(1) departments/majors that have stopped accepting new students and that do not have any remaining students are excluded from Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility. However, students of department of Korean Studies can apply for re-authorization of thesis/dissertation submission eligibility to Ewha Graduate School.

(2) Students who applied for Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility in the past.

(3) Students who were acknowledged as permanent completion due to disciplinary actions, etc.

 

 

7. Matters to be attended

  1) Students who receive Re-admission and Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility should register within the designed register time period and pay entrance fee and tuition.

  2) Unless accepted students complete course registration and the registration process within the designed register time period, re-admission and re-authorization of thesis/dissertation submission eligibility will be canceled.

  3) Students who granted Re-admission and Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility should sincerely follow the school regulation.

 

8. Notice on Submission of Official English Proficiency Score Report

(For students who did not completed foreign language exam while they were enrolled and would like to apply for Re-authorization of Thesis/Dissertation Submission Eligibility)

1) Validity: Tests which were taken after March 1, 2016.

2) Official English-proficiency test

  (1) Types of English-proficiency test: TOEFL, TOEIC, TEPS, IELTS or other scores satisfying the requirements of each departments’ criteria.

(2) How to submit: The original and the photocopy of English-proficiency score report is required to be submitted to GSIS Main office. The score must be higher than the required by each department. The original transcript will be returned.

* Please consult required scores with GSIS main office (gsis97@ewha.ac.kr).

3) Matters to be attended

Official English-proficiency transcript will be checked by responsible authority. If the result is in discord with the fact, it will be rejected, and disqualified from the re-authorization of thesis/dissertation.
