Commencement Ceremony Guidelines for February 2018

Congratulations on your graduation!

Please read the following instructions carefully for the Commencement Ceremony.

Date: February 26 (Mon.), 2018, at 2 p.m. (duration of approximately 1 hour)

Place: Welch-Ryang Auditorium (대강당)

Graduates should enter the Welch-Ryang Auditorium by 1:40 p.m., wearing a gown, hood, tassel and cap. Graduates are not allowed to enter or leave the room after the ceremony begins.
Certificate of diploma will be distributed at the GSIS Convocation Ceremony. Students who won’t be able attend the event will have to collect their diploma at the GSIS office after the Convocation Ceremony.

Date: February 26 (Mon.), 2018, at 3:30p.m. (duration of approximately 90 mins)

Place: LG Convention Hall, International Education Building (B1)

Place: Department office (#1102, International Education Bldg): Early rental is recommended for washing and ironing.

Rental Deposit: 30,000 won for gown/hood/tassel/cap rental (will be fully reimbursed when gown set is fully returned).
Graduates should return the gowns after the convocation ceremony is over.
Doctoral students are responsible for preparing their own gown/hood/tassel/cap.

Rehearsal for the Graduation Ceremony (Doctoral graduates valedictorian / Master’s graduates valedictorian only): February 25 (Sun.), 3:30p.m. at Welch-Ryang Auditorium.
Parents of the graduates can wait and watch the ceremony via screen at the Lee Sang Bong Hall (B4) of ECC or 2^nd floor of the Welch-Ryang Auditorium (Ewha Graduation Ceremony).
Due to the shortage of parking space, graduating students and their guests are strongly advised to use public transportation services. If parking space is full, entrance to Main gate & Back gate will be closed.
Graduates must empty all their belongings in their locker. Locker deposit will be reimbursed by GSIS office. Items left after the commencement ceremony day will be removed by the GSIS office. GSIS office does not take responsibility for items left.
Graduation Certificate (not diploma) can be issued from February 26, 2018, via machine at Ewha ECC (Gate 1), Ewha Portal website online service, and mobile application.
Before being issued any certificate in English, please check your English Name at Ewha Portal.

2017학년도 전기(2018년 2월 졸업) 학위수여식 안내

졸업을 축하드립니다!! 2017학년도 전기 학위수여식을 다음과 같이 계획하오니 졸업예정자는 참고하여 주시기 바라며, 많이 참석하여 주시기 바랍니다.

1. 이화여자대학교 학위수여식

졸업식이 진행되는 동안에는 입장 또는 퇴장할 수 없습니다.

학위기는 학위수여식이 끝난 후 국제대학원 졸업식후행사장 (당일 3시 30분부터, 국제교육관 LG컨벤션홀)에서 배부됩니다. 식후행사 불참자는 추후 국제대학원 행정실에서 찾아가시면 됩니다.

2. 국제대학원 졸업식후행사(Convocation Ceremony: 학생회 주관)

가. 일시: 2018년 2월 26일(월) 오후 3:30 (약 1시간 30분 소요)

나. 장소: LG컨벤션홀 (국제교육관 지하1층)

다. 학위기가 배부됩니다.

라. 가족, 친구분들도 초청 가능합니다.(스낵 제공)

3. 졸업가운 및 후드, 모자 대여/반납

가. 대여기간: 2018년 2월 19일(월) ~ 2월 26일(월) 9:00~17:00 (12:00-1:00 제외)

나. 대여장소: 국제대학원 행정실(국제교육관 1102호): 미리 빌려가셔서 세탁/다림질을 권장합니다.

다. 가운대여 예치금: 3만원(가운 일체 반납시 전액 반환됩니다.)

라. 반납: 학위수여식과 식후행사가 끝난 후 즉시 행정실에 반납하여야 합니다.

마. 박사학위 수여자는 졸업가운 및 후드, 모자(술 포함)을 각자 준비하여야 합니다.

4. 유의사항

>> 박사학위 대표자와 석사학위 수여자 대표자만 참석 (대표자는 추후 개별 안내 드립니다.)

학위수여식이 엄숙하게 진행될 수 있도록 협조하여 주시기 바랍니다.
학부모님을 위한 좌석은 대강당 2층 및 이삼봉홀(ECC 지하4층)에 마련되어 있습니다.
학위수여식 당일 교내외가 매우 혼잡하고 교내 주차공간이 부족하오니 꼭 당일 대중교통을 이용하여 주시기 바랍니다. 교내 주차장이 만차되면 정문과 후문 입구가 폐쇄될 예정입니다.
국제대학원 사물함을 이용하시던 분은 졸업식 당일까지 사물함을 모두 비우고, 사용하시던 사물함 번호를 국제대학원 행정실 사무실로 오셔서 알려주셔야 합니다. (대여비 반환) 졸업식후 행사가 끝나면 사물함에 남은 물건은 모두 폐기 처리 될 것이며, 행정실은 그 물건들에 대한 책임을 일체 지지 않습니다.
졸업증명서는 2018년 2월 26일(졸업식 당일)부터 학교 ECC Gate 1안의 자동화기기 혹은 이화 포탈에서 온라인 증명서 출력 또는 모바일 어플리케이션에서 발급가능합니다. 1월 하순부터 졸업예정증명서 발급이 가능합니다.
각종 증명서를 영문으로 발급받기 전에 반드시 이화 포털 사이트에서 본인의 영문이름을 재확인하시기 바랍니다.
