MOU Ceremony with Ewha’s Center for Global Social Responsibility (CGSR) and ARK Impact Asset Management

On Friday, April 6, 2018, the Center for Global Social Responsibility (Director, Hannah Jun) held an MOU signing ceremony with ARK Impact Asset Management (Chairman, Lee Chullyoung) with the aim of encouraging broader awareness in social responsibility in the fields of business and finance.

ARK Impact Asset Management is the first asset management firm in Korea’s capital market with a 100% impact investing strategy. ARK aims to generate social and environmental returns as well as financial returns through its investments, including public equity, private equity, private debt and social impact bonds.

The CGSR will provide continued academic and research support to ARK Impact Asset Management in the fields of impact and socially responsible investing. This support will also extend to social entrepreneurship, as ARK Impact Asset Management aims to build a vibrant culture for social entrepreneurship through its support of the Social Enterprise Network (SEN) and Student Alliance Impact Investing Club (SAIIC). ARK Impact Asset Management will provide support for coursework development at Ewha GSIS with respect to these fields, and faculty and students will have chance to participate in forums, seminars and activities sponsored by the two signatories.
