3. Determining Factors

GSIS scholarships will be determined based on the student’s academic performance and scholastic achievements, major, economic needs and participation in GSIS events/activities. Additional consideration will be given to those students who attend and participate in special extracurricular events (seminars, lecturers, forums, workshops, etc.) organized by Ewha GSIS. Final decisions are made by GSIS Scholarship Committee.

4. Applicable Object & Ineligibility

Regular/Course-based registered students for Spring 2019

(Course-based registered students can apply for Ewha Student Assistant (학생조교) Scholarship, and scholarship can be provided within the range of tuition.)

※ Since the tuition for course-based students is decided by registered credits, the scholarship will be offered through bank account after the registration is confirmed. (No Bill deduction)

※ The scholarship is not provided in partial. When the tuition is less than the scholarship, application is not accepted.

※ Students who completed the program(Thesis/Research registration) or who is in leave of absence cannot apply.

※ Basically other internal/external scholarship cannot be overlapped.

(우수이화인, 연구조교 researching assistant, 이화복지1 scholarships are possible to be overlapped within the range of tuition.)

* Students will be disqualified from scholarship consideration for the following reasons:

(a) Immediately proceeded semester’s GPA is below 2.00.

(b) A history of disciplinary actions received for violating school regulations.

(c) Less than the minimum of 9 credits completed in the immediately proceeding semester (minimum of 6 credits from Ewha GSIS).

* (a) and (b) are Ewha University policy. (c) is specific to GSIS.

5. Application forms and submission due date

(a) Application Period: December 10 (Mon), 2018 ~ January 11(Fri.), 2019, IEB #1102, please submit the documents to Ms. Younhee Lee (yhlee1115@ewha.ac.kr).

(b) Documents to be submitted: GSIS scholarship application (Form 10-1) or Ewha Assistantship application form (조교신청서, Form 10-2) and a copy of your bankbook (if your bank account number is not registered on Ewha Eureka System).

[★ Note for Ewha Scholarship]

Ewha Student Assistant Scholarship can be overlapped with research assistant, 이화복지1 장학금, 특수대학원특성화 장학금, 면학장려금 within the total amount of tuition. B-level and C-level TA can be duplicated maximum two scholarships (i.e. B & B OR B & C is available) . (However, if you will receive other scholarship, please check relative office prior to application. If you are Korean nationality and plan to apply for student loan, please be noted that student loan and Ewha Student Assistant Scholarship can not be duplicated (See below detail in Korean).

※ 장학금 이중지원 유의사항

<학자금 대출 및 장학금 중복(이중)지원 유의사항>

ㅇ 중복지원이라 함은 한 학생이 동일 학기에 수혜받은 학자금 대출과 장학금의 총액이 등록금을 초과하는 경우를 뜻함.

※ 학자금 대출: 한국장학재단 및 공무원연금관리공단, 사학연금관리공단 등의 모든 학자금 대출

※ 장학금 : 교내, 교외재단, 국가 등 모든 장학금

ㅇ 중복지원 학생의 경우 등록금 초과분을 대출 상환 또는 장학금 반환해야 하며,

중복지원 사유가 해소될 때까지 한국장학재단의 학자금 대출 및 장학금 대상에서 제외됨.

※ 19-1학기까지 중복지원 내역이 있는 학생은 미해소할 경우 19-1학기 이후 한국장학재단의

국가장학금, 학자금대출 등의 모든 지원이 불가하므로, 반드시 확인 후 해소해야 함.

3. 장학생 선정 기준

국제대학원 장학금은 학생의 학업 수행과 성취도, 전공, 경제 사정, GSIS 행사 참여도 등을 기준으로 선정, 수여함.

세미나,포럼, 워크숍 등, 정규과목 외의 GSIS 행사 참여 여부도 반영될 수 있으며, 국제대학원 장학위원회에서 최종 결정됨.

4. 신청대상 및 결격사유

2019학년도 1학기 정규등록생 및 교과목 등록생(교과목등록생은 학생조교 신청가능)

*단, 교과목등록생은 등록금 범위 내에서 장학금 지급 가능

※ 교과목등록생은 수강신청 학점에 따라 등록금이 결정되므로 등록완료 확인 후 통장지급 예정 (고지서 감면 불가)

※ 장학금은 일부 지급되지 않으며 등록금이 장학금보다 적을 경우 신청 불가

※ 수료생(논문등록/연구등록) 및 휴학생 지원 불가

※ 교내·외 타 장학금과 원칙적으로 중복수혜 불가함. (단, 우수이화인, 연구조교, 이화복지1 장학금은 등록금 범위 내에서 중복가능)

*아래와 같은 조건의 학생은 장학금 선정 대상이 될 수 없음.

(a) 직전 학기 성적2.00 이하인 자

(b) 학칙 위반으로 인한 징계를 받은 자

* (a), (b)는 이화여자대학교, (c)는 국제대학원에 해당되는 기준임.

[★학생조교 관련 추가 안내사항]

연구조교,이화복지1 장학금, 특수대학원특성화 장학금, 면학장려금 등은 등록금 범위 내에서 중복 가능하며, B급 또는 C급 조교 장학금은 최대 2건까지 중복수혜 가능함(타 장학금 수혜가 예정되어 있는 경우 학생조교 장학금과 중복수혜가 가능한지 미리 확인하여야 함). 학생조교 장학금은 등록금 지원 장학금이므로 중복지원 예외사항에 해당되지 않음
