We are delighted to invite you to the Economic Security Forum, co-hosted by the Embassy of Canada in Korea and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), on December 11, 2024.
This forum will convene experts, senior policymakers, advisors, and distinguished researchers to explore the Republic of Korea’s (ROK) strategies and future policy directions for strengthening economic security and supply chains in the face of global uncertainty. Participants will delve into the changing global economic and trade landscape while identifying opportunities for future collaboration.
The forum will explore Korea’s comprehensive efforts to enhance economic security, focusing on government structural reforms, recent legislative developments, and strategies to address external challenges faced by the private sector. It will also provide valuable perspectives on Korea's role in ensuring supply chain resilience and fostering economic stability in the region. Finally, the forum will examine the implications of a joint Korea-Canada economic security response, leveraging the strengths of their strategic partnership and Canada's business strategies in the Indo-Pacific region.
